Twelve years of documenting weddings taught me one thing: the photos people frame are never the posed ones. They're the glance across the room, the laugh that comes from relief, the hand that reaches without thinking.
I shoot documentary — meaning I observe rather than direct. The only instruction I give is "forget I'm here." People are always more beautiful when they do.
